FROM THE POLISH COUNTRYSIDE TO A BROOKLYN BRAMBLE
Konstancja is the founder and Chief Ecosystem Officer of Bramble NYC.
Originally from Poznan, Poland, Konstancja came to the US to experience first-hand the world she knew from novels of American authors she studied back home. Having graduated with a degree in literature from Fordham University, she began creating her own New York story living in four boroughs, visiting every museum in the city, taking up running and volunteering. Konstancja’s volunteer work resulted in a career shift to a community-based position managing stewardship and programming in public parks in her beloved Greenpoint. An MBA in Sustainability from Bard College gave Konstancja unique tools to pursue an entrepreneurial career through creating Bramble NYC to help solve the climate crisis through nature-based solutions.
Konstancja grew up in Poland in a family with deep traditions of studying and practicing natural sciences - including gardening, forestry, and landscape design. Those lived traditions inspire and inflect her love for urban ecologies. She lives in Greenpoint with two cats, family heirlooms from Poland, and fifty indoor plants. Konstancja spends most of her time in the garden which serves as a regenerative social and environmental lab.
